Ōmi beef

Ōmi beef is considered to be incredibly delicious and highly prized for its quality and taste. It is one of the top three wagyu beef varieties in Japan, along with Kobe beef and Matsusaka beef. Ōmi beef comes from a specific breed of Japanese black cattle raised in the Ōmi region, which is now part of Shiga Prefecture.

The beef is well-marbled with fat, giving it a tender and buttery texture. It is known for its rich, juicy, and savory flavor, often described as having a melt-in-your-mouth quality. The cattle are raised in a carefully controlled environment and fed a special diet to enhance the marbling and taste of the meat.

Due to its high quality and limited production, Ōmi beef is considered a luxury item and is usually more expensive than regular beef. Many consider it a true delicacy and savor the experience of tasting this premium Japanese wagyu beef.
